Hair extensions are a great way to have the hair you've always wanted RIGHT NOW!
Gone are the days of bulky, unnatural looking hair extensions. Todays hair extensions designed to be as light weight as possible and virtually undetectable. Extensions today are used to give instant length, create volume, fill in sparse or uneven areas, cover any thinning areas and add color without the commitment of changing the existing hair color. The possibilities are limitless.
Ruth N Rae is proud to offer 4 different extension methods that can be combined and customized for your specific hair goals.

This downloadable and printable form has everything you need to know to properly care for your new hair extensions at home.
A: The consultation is the most important part of any service. It not only gives you time to have all of your questions answered, but it begins to build the connection between the two of us. During this "planning stage" we discuss your hair goals, select the best extension method(s) for you, color match your hair and discuss pricing. Because the length, density and color of your natural hair is essential to the overall look, consultations CANNOT BE VIRTUAL. Consultations are approximately 30 minutes and are $50. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
A: Installed and removed by a professional hair stylist correctly, hair extensions are no more damaging to the hair than coloring and highlighting services. In many cases, clients have had hair growth while wearing their extensions.
A: Maintenance appointments and proper at home care are essential to keeping your extensions looking fresh and keeping your natural hair healthy. As your hair grows while wearing your extensions, you will need to come in to the salon for required maintenance. Most maintenance appointments are scheduled anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks from the previous appointment. Prior to leaving the salon on the day of your extension installation, you will be given recommendations for brushing, shampooing, products, etc; to help make your at home care a breeze. An at home maintenance form will also be emailed to you after your extension installation appointment. A copy of that form is located above.
A: I work exclusively with 3 hair companies to give my clients the best options and recommendations to achieve the desired look: DreamCatchers Hair, Bellami Hair and EasiHair. These are 3 of the top hair extension companies in the industry. All of the hair is 100% cuticle in tact Remy hair. I-Tips, Tape Ins and Wefts can be reused for up to 12-18 months with proper care and maintenance. K-Tip hair extensions CANNOT be reused. They last 4-6 months in the hair before they are removed.
A: As a general rule, if your hair is chin length or longer, your hair is long enough for extensions, however, a consultation is required to determine if extensions will work for your hair.
A: Yes. You can wash, blow-dry and heat style your extensions.
A: While the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true, I work with 3 different hair extension companies to be able to give my clients a range of products and pricing. The quality of the extensions pays off in the form of a better return on your investment, as the hair, in some cases, can last 12-18 months. Initial pricing includes the cost of the hair and can vary depending on many factors such as the length of the hair, how much hair is needed and the method of installation being utilized. Subsequent pricing does not include the hair cost, only maintenance costs such as tightening, re-fusion/re-installation and highlighting/coloring your natural hair. These costs are broken down and explained thoroughly at the consultation appointment.
